2015 – Present: Attending Texas Christian University to obtain my Master of Liberal Arts Degree with
with an emphasis on leadership.
2012: Earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in English with a minor in History.
2003: Obtained my Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts from Hill College.
1988: Basic Peace Officer Certification, North Central Texas Council of Governments.

Work Experience
August 2004 – Present: TCU Police Department
A Sergeant with the TCU Police Department since 2005.
Primary duties include the supervision of five officers, five security guards, and one
dispatcher, and the scheduling and payroll for these employees. We enforce
criminal and civil laws as well as University policy on campus.
January 1988 – July 2004: Cleburne Police Department
Worked extensively in Patrol, Criminal Investigations, Crime Scene/Property Control, Jail Administration, and Telecommunications. While assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division, I gained extensive knowledge of the Texas Education Code, Texas Family Code, and the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure. I also maintained the Crime Stoppers and Victim Assistance programs for the Department. As the lone Officer assigned to the Crime Scene Unit, I was responsible for the collection and storage of physical evidence from all felony offenses and destruction of property upon completion of the case. As the Jail Administrator, I monitored four cells with up to twelve detainees.
As a supervisor in the Patrol Division, I was accountable for the training and supervision of up to fourteen Officers. I retired in 2004 – the first female Officer to retire from the
Cleburne Police Department.
August 1983 – June 1986: United States Army Military Police
Assigned to Erlansee and Hanau, Germany, as well as Fort MacPherson, Georgia.
Duties included physical security vital to national security, law enforcement duties, and dignitary protection. Obtained the highest-ranking security clearance (Top Secret SBI). Received the Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and Overseas Ribbon. Separated with an Honorable Discharge.
